international firm Aedas has recently won a competition to design the zhuhai hengqin international hi-tech iovation park located at hengqin - one of the newly aounced free trade zones in china. the project aims to become a nurturing ground for the hi-tech industry - creating an urban setting for startup and business entrepreneurs. set on a vast plot of land, the scheme will consist of office spaces for business incubators, enterprise accelerators, research and development.

additionally, headquarters supported by a one-stop service centers, public technology platforms, conference and training centers, exhibition space along with retail and serviced apartments will also be incorporated to facilitate a simultaneous working, living community. Aedasrsquo; proposal drew influence from the surrounding scenic beauty of hengqinrsquo;s mountains and sea. the series of office towers reflect the outline of the mountains and seashore with curving and fluid edges. the layout is carefully plaed to include a central park with a sunken plaza and water features.
